A Fond du Lac family medicine physician says whether you’re dealing with one of the many viruses currently surging or just don’t feel your best right now you’re not alone. While it may be an exaggeration to say everyone is sick right now, Dr. Heather Schmidt says there are certainly a lot more people than one might expect who are sick. Dr. Schmidt says with the flu, RSV and COVID circulating, it sure looks like a ‘tripledemic’ is in store for this winter. Dr. Schmidt says she fears it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
