12-12-22 fdl street closure

A portion of South Park Avenue in Fond du Lac will be closed  this week.  South Park between 6 th Street and 9 th Street will be closed beginning Monday, December 12th  and will reopen Friday afternoon December 16th.   The closure will be in place to allow the water utility to replace and restore a lead  service on S Park Avenue.

Columbus High School football coach Andrew Selgrad has been named Wisconsin Associated Press High School Football Coach of the Year. Selgrad received the honor after leading Columbus to a WIAA Division 4 championship this year, over Waukesha Catholic Memorial. WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden's administration is providing nearly $36 billion to shore up a financially troubled union pension plan. The federal aid is intended to stop severe cuts to the retirement incomes of more than 350,000 Teamsters workers and retirees. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has awarded $1 million in producer-led watershed protection grants to 43 farmer-led groups for 2023.    The grants are designed to support producer-led conservation solutions by  encouraging innovation and farmer participation in on-the-ground efforts to improve Wisconsin's soil health and water quality.   The Dodge County Farmers for Healthy Soil & Healthy Water is receiving a nearly $38,000 grant.

12-9-22 fdl man enters not guilty plea in homicide case

A Fond du Lac man has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first degree intentional homicide.  Thirty two year old Timothy Brown entered the plea during an arraignment hearing this week.  Brown is charged in the August 20 shooting death of 40 year old Brandon Johnson.   Johnson was found dead in the 200 block of Marquette Street with multiple  gunshot wounds.   Brown was bound over for trial following a […]
