1-18-23 st. mary’s springs academy high school students raise money for charity

Inspired by  NFL player Damar Hamlin’s remarkable recovery after suffering cardiac arrest on the football field, St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School students recently raised money for charity in Hamlin’s honor.   Hamlin’s toy drive foundation for children inspired SMSA  students  to organize a fundraiser in honor of  Damar and his foundation’s mission.   Students raised over  $1,000 for the Sleep in Heavenly Peace project.   This is a non-profit organization in Fond du Lac that makes beds for children that otherwise sleep on couches, blankets, or floors.
