MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The city of Luck, Wisconsin, is living up to its namesake. Someone bought a $15.1 million Megabucks-winning ticket at Wayne's Food Plus grocery store in the northwestern Wisconsin city. The winning numbers were 4-6-12-17-27-28. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers and veteran left-hander Wade Miley have agreed to a $4.5 million, one-year contract, according to a person familiar with the situation. Miley can make additional $1.5 million in incentives, and there is a $10 million mutual option for 2024. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Firefighters in Milwaukee have discovered a body in a burned home. The Journal Sentinel reports that firefighters were called to the home around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday for a report of smoke coming from the building. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and searched the building but found nothing. Fire Chief Aaron Lipski said “extreme hoarder conditions” in the home hampered searchers. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin woman accused of repeatedly poisoning her veterinarian husband with animal euthanasia drugs has been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Fifty-year-old Amanda Chapin of Monroe was charged Dec. 28. Authorities say she poisoned her 70-year-old husband, Gary Chapin, three times during July and August. A Wisconsin Rapids couple is in custody on drug charges following a traffic  stop in Fond du Lac.  The vehicle was pulled over Wednesday night for an equipment violation after it exited northbound Interstate 41 at Hickory Street.  A police K9 detected the odor of drugs and a search of the vehicle recovered a pound each of cocaine and marijuana.   A 30 year old woman and 35 year old man from Wisconsin […]
