The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) confirms that a Vernon County deer farm that tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD) in September 2022 has been depopulated. Of the 32 animals depopulated, four tested positive for the disease.  DATCP quarantined the farm in September 2022 when a 3-year-old white-tailed buck tested positive for CWD. Fond du Lac County is beginning the process of redesigning the Fond du Lac County flag.  The county flag  was designed by Donna Heldt of Campbellsport many years ago.  County residents are asked  to submit their designs.   Required criteria includes  representation of county parks and recreation,  agriculture,   and  businesses and manufacturing.  All submissions must be in a digital format.  The winning submission will become property of Fond du Lac County.   The […]

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. health officials are advising people to stop using over-the-counter eye drops that have been linked to an outbreak of drug-resistant infections.
