2-23-23 primary election voter turnout

The Fond du Lac County Clerk is reporting a higher than average voter turnout in this week's primary election.  Clerk Lisa Freiberg says a little more than 15,000 registered voters cast ballots for a 25 percent turnout.  "Unbelievable,"  Freiberg told WFDL news.  "There's been April elections that we have not seen a 25 percent turnout."   Freiberg says the state supreme court race was probably the biggest factor.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A former state lawmaker who once served as Wisconsin’s tourism secretary has been sentenced to 33 months in prison after pleading guilty to failing to pay nearly $200,000 in employment taxes.  A federal judge sentenced former state Sen. 2-22-23 beaver dam municipal court race

Attorneys Maryann Schacht and Todd Snow  received the most votes in  Tuesday's primary election and will advance to the April general election for a municipal judge position in Beaver Dam.  The multi-jurisdictional court handles municipal matters and traffic citations for Beaver Dam, Mayville and Waupun.  Snow is a Waupun attorney.  Schacht has worked as a Beaver Dam attorney and prosecutor for several years.
