A Fond du Lac man faces child pornography charges following the execution of a search warrant this week. Police chief Aaron Goldstein says several electronic devices were seized and forensically examined following the search in the 600 block of South Main Street. Investigators found numerous images and videos of child pornography. The investigation began following a Cyber Tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. Charges have been referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office against a 28 year old Fond du Lac man.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
