An 18 year old Oshkosh man is in custody following two high speed pursuits in Fond du Lac County. The first chase started shortly before 6pm Tuesday when a sheriff deputy attempted to stop a vehicle speeding 100 miles an hour on Highway 151 near Highway 49. The vehicle cut across the median and began traveling northbound in the southbound lanes causing several vehicles to take evasive action. The chase was terminated after the deputy got the license plate number. A short time later the same vehicle was involved in another chase on Highway 26 near Rosendale that ended when the vehicle crashed in a ditch and the driver fled on foot. Deputies followed footprints to a nearby residence and with the help of a K9 the suspect was found in an out building and surrendered.
