3-3-23 aarp wisconsin supports evers’ budget

AARP Wisconsin says provisions in governor Tony Evers’ proposed budget would benefit seniors and unpaid family caregivers statewide.  AARP Wisconsin state director Martha Cranley says one proposal would provide a $500 individual income tax credit  for family caregivers.  Cranley told WFDL news  AARP also supports a provision to fully expand Medicaid.  Cranley says strengthening Internet services and  infrastructure are essential.   Cranley says the critical needs of Wisconsin’s 50-plus population must not fall through the cracks as the budget moves through the legislative process.
