Fond du Lac County government is looking for individuals interested in serving on a variety of boards, committees and commissions. The county is currently seeking applicants for the commission on aging and the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Advisory committee. Interested individuals should contact the county executive’s office by March 27. The County Executive will forward his recommendation for appointments to the county board for consideration at their April 18th meeting.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
