The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal one vehicle crash in Dodge County last weekend. The Sheriff’s Office says 64 year old William Barrett of Beaver Dam was pronounced dead at a hospital following the crash early last Sunday morning on the Highway 151 on-ramp at County Highway B. Investigators say the car traveled through the intersection, striking a sign in the median, entered a ditch, traveled down the embankment, striking a fence and a tree. Barrett was pronounced dead at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
