3-14-23 fdl county looking for people to serve on boards, committees and commissions

Fond du Lac County government is looking for individuals interested in serving on a variety of boards, committees and commissions.  The county is currently seeking applicants for the Commission on Aging and the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Advisory committee.  Interested individuals should contact the county executive's office by March 27.  The County Executive will forward his recommendation for appointments to the county board for consideration at their April 18th meeting. 3-14-23 tanker truck-semi crash shuts down hwy 26 in fdl county

Nobod y was injured following a crash involving a tanker truck and semi tractor trailer in Fond du Lac County.  The crash happened around 8am Monday on northbound Highway 26 near Waupun.  According to the Sheriff's Office a tanker truck pulling into the Koch Refinery collided with  a semi-tractor trailer.   The crash resulted in a traffic detour for a couple of hours until the scene was cleared.

3-13-23 laconia girls win division 4 basketball title

The Laconia High School girls basketball team hoisted the gold ball for the first time in the school's history.   The Spartans defeated top-seeded La Crosse Aquinas 64-51 in the Division 4 championship game Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay.    Laconia was the runner-up last year and in 2019.
