A new study shows Road America has a more than quarter of a billion dollar annual economic impact on Sheboygan County.  The study conducted by the Washington Economics Group  found  the total economic Impact of Road America each year is $254 million throughout Sheboygan County.  Of this total, $181 million (or 71 percent) is due to direct economic effects, with $73 million (or 29 percent) attributable to indirect and induced economic effects.  The study also found […]

(ESPN)   The New York Jets have had conversations with the Green Bay Packers and with quarterback Aaron Rodgers this week regarding a potential trade of the four-time MVP to the Jets, according to sources. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Republicans are poised to block a new policy from Democratic Gov. Tony Evers requiring students to get vaccinated against meningitis and tightening student chickenpox vaccination mandates. Evers' administration announced a new policy in February that requires students entering 7th and 12th grades to get meningitis shots. A newly formed Fond du Lac County Child Care Task Force is meeting in an effort to develop a comprehensive strategy  to address a child care shortage in the area.  Envision Greater Fond du Lac president Sadie Vander Velde says the task force is comprised of business, non-profit, and community organizations, child care providers and local government.  Vander Velde says the task force held it's first meeting earlier this month.

3-8-23 fdl cancer survivor, turkey hunter writes book about his life’s journey

Fond du Lac native Loren Voss beat the odds the first time he was diagnosed with cancer more than 30 years ago after doctors gave him just six months to live.   Voss survived the cancer and was able to watch his three children grow up, get married, and have children of their own.  Voss loves to turkey hunt, earning the nickname  "Wisconsin Turkey Commander" after harvesting more than 150 turkeys.   […]

This weekend the Fond du Lac High School’s Youth in Government delegation had the opportunity to participate in the statewide Model Government conference in Madison. They argued court cases in the State Supreme Court, proposed bills in the State Senate and Assembly chambers, and created media posts/articles documenting the experience. 3-7-23 victim of fatal traffic crash in fdl county identified

The victim of a fatal crash Sunday afternoon in Fond du Lac  County has been identified.   The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says 68 year old Cynthia Moon of Campbellsport was killed when she lost control of her car on County Road S north of Earl Court  and struck a culvert.  She was pronounced dead at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.  The Sheriff's Office says impairment and speed were factors in the crash.
