3-6-23 soup du jour raises money for homeless shelter, food pantry

A collaboration between Fond du Lac  restaurants and Holy Family Catholic Community raised thousands of dollars  for St. Katharine Drexel Shelter and Holyland Food Pantry.   The Soup du Jour fundraiser generated $2500 in donations with an additional $2000 from the parish bringing the total amount to $2,000 for each organization.  Fourteen local restaurants participated in the event February 18th with the soup selling out in one hour.

3-6-23 fdl street closure

The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works says  West Division Street from Brooke Street to Gould Street will be closed starting Monday. The closure will begin Monday, March 6 and remain closed for approximately four weeks.  A private contractor will be boring new communication lines and replacing communication vaults in advance of the West Division Street Bridge reconstruction scheduled for fall 2023.
