Fond du Lac County government is looking for individuals interested in serving on a variety of boards, committees and commissions.   The county is currently seeking applicants for the commission on aging and the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Advisory committee.  Interested individuals should contact the county executive's office by March 27.  The County Executive will forward his recommendation for appointments to the county board for consideration at their April 18th meeting.  

Fond du Lac County will be directing more than $600,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds to make improvements at county parks.  The county board this week approved a resolution to spend $610,000 in ARPA funds for various projects at multiple county owned parks.  "We're looking at trails, we're looking at (Camp) Shaginappi, for example.  We're looking at a new parking lot area, renovating the lodge out there,"  Kaufman told […]

A new AAA survey show travel bookings for 2023 are off to a strong start, and a big jump in travel is expected for spring break.  According to AAA 83-percent of Wisconsinites plan to travel this year, up from 62 percent last year.   State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says 31 percent of Wisconsinites are planning a spring break vacation, up from 21 percent last year.   AAA recommends people who are planning […]
