There are two new faces on the Fond du Lac School Board. Katie Moder was the top vote-getter in the race for two seats on the board. The former Fond du Lac School district teacher, principal and Pupil Services director was elected to a three year term with nearly 7,000 votes. “It’s really exciting,” Moder told WFDL news. “I’m just so thankful for all of those who supported me.” Challenger Joan Pennau was elected with just under 5300 votes. “I’m very excited, cannot wait to get started,” Pennau told WFDL news. “I thank everyone who voted for me.” Incumbent Jenni Patrykus and challenger Dustin Gassner were elected to the Waupun School Board. “I want to say thank you to the voters,” Patrykus said. “This is a wonderful privilege.” School Board president, Steven Chene, was defeated after one term. Rosendale-Brandon School District voters have approved a $1.5 million operations referendum and nearly $36 million building referendum that will allow the District to consolidate from four buildings to two. Superintendent Wayne Weber says he is “incredibly grateful to the community.” Jason Westphal was elected to the Waupun Common Council in District 1.
