The Wisconsin Department of Administration secretary made a stop in Waupun Thursday to highlight a multi-million dollar investment for the city. DOA Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld met with Waupun city officials and toured the Waupun Senior Center. Mayor Rohn Bishop says a new Senior Center/Community Center project is made possible through a $5 million Neighborhood Investment Fund grant.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
