The Little White Schoolhouse has now moved six times. It was first located on the triangle of Blackburn, Thorne, and East Fond du Lac Streets, where it served as a schoolhouse until 1860. (AP) — The defrocked Roman Catholic cardinal who became the face of the church’s clergy sex abuse crisis has been charged in Wisconsin with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old man more than 45 years ago. 4-18-23 nfdl police investigating reports of gunshots fired

North Fond du Lac Police continue to investigate a report that gun shots were fired in the  Lighthouse Point Mobile Home Community  Sunday afternoon.  Shortly after 1pm Sunday police received several 911 calls reporting 7-12 gunshots fired in rapid succession.   Responding officers located 9mm shell casings in the roadway on Swan Drive west of Prospect Avenue.   Officers did not locate property damage  or receive any reports of injuries from the gunfire.    A resident supplied […]

A motorcycle crash in North Fond du Lac has claimed the life of a town of Friendship man.    North Fond du Lac police say early Saturday morning a motorcycle was southbound  on North Pioneer Road,  failed to negotiate a curve near Winnebago Street, skidded across the road and struck  a guardrail.  The 33 year old operator was pronounced dead at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.   According to police, […]

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Dodge County.   According to the Sheriff's Office 58 year old  James Jansen of  Beaver  Dam was killed Friday evening when a Volvo Pay Loader pulled from a driveway onto state Highway 33 near Noble Road into the path of Jansen's  motorcycle.  Jansen  was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the truck, a 74 year […]
