4-17-23 two teenage girls escape serious injuries in fiery rollover crash in fdl county

Two teenage girls escaped serious injury in a one vehicle rollover crash in Fond du Lac County.   The crash happened shortly before 9pm Saturday when the driver of a car failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 45 near Mitchell Road.  The car entered a ditch and overturned after striking a culvert and burst into flames.  A passerby and sheriff's deputies extinguished  the fire and helped rescue the occupants from the vehicle.    A 16 […]

4-17-23 fatal motorcycle crash dodge county

A Beaver Dam man was killed in a two vehicle motorcycle crash in Dodge County.  Shortly after 6pm Friday a Volvo Pay Loader pulled from a driveway onto state Highway 33 into the path of a westbound motorcycle.  The motorcycle operator, a 58 year old Beaver Dam man,  was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.   The driver of the truck, a 74 year old Horicon man,  was not injured.

4-17-23 wisconsin man gets life in prison for wife’s 1998 slaying

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin man convicted for a second time of killing his wife with antifreeze and by suffocation in 1998 has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. A Kenosha County judge sentenced 63-year-old Mark Jensen on Friday. A jury convicted him in February of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of his wife, Julie Jensen. The Wisconsin Department of Administration secretary made a stop in Waupun Thursday to highlight a multi-million dollar investment for the city.   DOA Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld  met with Waupun city officials and toured the Waupun Senior Center.   Mayor Rohn Bishop says a new Senior Center/Community Center  project is made possible through a $5 million Neighborhood Investment Fund grant.
