An Eden woman was killed in a one vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened shortly before 8am Tuesday on Highway B just east of the village of Eden. A preliminary investigation shows a vehicle was eastbound on B when it crossed through the westbound lane of traffic, entered a ditch and struck a tree. The driver, a 50 year old Eden woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but speed or impairment are not believed to be factors.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
