One person was killed when a car struck a semi trailer in Dodge County. The crash happened Saturday morning on Highway 151 at County Highway M. A preliminary investigation shows a disabled semi pulling double trailers was parked on the northbound shoulder of 151 when a car drifted onto the shoulder striking the semi. A passenger in the car, 38 year old Kammey May Schultz. of Fall River was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14 year old female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison with life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 59 year old Fall River man was flown by helicopter to the hospital with serious injuries. A nine- year-old female from Fall River sustained minor injuries and was treated at SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital. The semi driver, a 32-year-old male from Oshkosh, was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
