WHITING, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a 40-year-old man died after he became stuck in machinery at a central Wisconsin paper mill. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and first responders were called Sunday afternoon to the Mativ Inc. Paper Mill in Whiting, about 65 miles west of Green Bay. 5-17-23 fatal crash in fdl county

An Eden woman was killed in a one vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County.  The crash happened shortly before 8am Tuesday on Highway B just east of the village of Eden.  A preliminary investigation shows a vehicle was eastbound on B when it  crossed through the westbound lane of traffic, entered a ditch and struck a tree.  The driver, a 50 year old Eden woman,  was pronounced dead at the scene.  The […]

The state lottery says a SuperCash ticket sold in Fond du Lac has won the $350,000 jackpot in Sunday's drawing.  The winning ticket that matched all six numbers was sold at Hansen’s BP on West Johnson Street.   SuperCash! numbers are drawn daily, and players receive two plays for $1.   Seven people matched 5 numbers to win $1,000.

5-16-23 wisconsin budget forecast dips slightly

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s budget forecast has dipped slightly, but the latest projection still calls for the state to collect about $6.9 billion more than anticipated by the end of June.
