LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — Officials say railroad tracks damaged after a BNSF Railway freight train derailed last week in southwestern Wisconsin have been repaired and returned to service. BNSF spokeswoman Lena Kent says contractors made repairs and reopened the line Saturday. 5-3-23 hilbert man arrested following high speed chase in fdl county

A Hilbert man is in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County. It started Monday evening following a traffic stop on Interstate 41 near Johnson Street and reached speeds of up to 130 mph before it was terminated. The suspect vehicle later crashed near County highway N. The driver was arrested following a short foot chase. He faces multiple charges including possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
