The Fond du Lac School Board has approved the hiring of a new middle school  principal and two assistant principals for next school year.   Meeting in a special session Monday evening  the board approved hiring Alexandra Garcia-Bankowski as Sabish Middle School principal.    She has been an assistant principal at Fond du Lac High School since 2021.  Michael Blaskowski has been hired as an assistant principal at Sabish.  He served as a […]

(AP) — Wisconsin legislators have approved the state's share of a settlement stemming from a multistate lawsuit accusing drug manufacturers and distributors of contributing to the nation's opioid crisis. A coalition of states and local governments secured settlements in November and December with opioid manufacturers Teva and Allergan as well as with pharmaceutical chains Walmart, Walgreens and CVS totaling $19.2 billion. DIVERNON, Ill. (AP) — Winds stirred up a wall of dust from farm fields that engulfed a stretch of busy interstate highway in a matter of minutes. Repair work continues on the Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Lighthouse.  Fond du Lac Advisory Park Board member John Papenheim says crews have removed and replaced siding,  and rotted studs, along with concrete cap, cleaning and tuck pointing.   Meanwhile, Papenheim says work is also ongoing on a major street and parking lot renovation project  on  Lighthouse Drive.   All of the work is slated to be completed by the end of May.

In the early morning hours of May 1 st , the Federal Bureau of Investigation notified the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office of a school threat video they intercepted that had been shared on a social media platform.
