The Moraine Park District Board has three new members. Mike Schwab of Jackson, Diane Guerrero of Beaver Dam and Melissa Kescenovitz of West Bend were sworn into office at the July 10th meeting. They will serve three-year terms ending in June 2026. Kescenovitz and Guerrero will serve as additional members, and Schwab will serve as an elected official member. The board officers for the 2023-24 year are:
Chairperson – Tom Hopp of West Bend
Vice Chairperson – Bur Zeratsky of Green Lake
Treasurer – Sara Hintz of Beaver Dam
Secretary – Mike Schwab of Jackson

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
