7-24-23 drowning on big green lake

The body of a missing boater who disappeared on Big Green Lake has been recovered.    The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office said the 36-year-old's body was found around 4:40 p.m. Friday, just over 24 hours after he was reported as missing.   Dispatchers received a call around 4:30 p.m. Thursday about a possible drowning victim.   Crews began searching the last known area for the boater, but called off the search […]

7-24-23 fdl garage fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a garage in Fond du Lac.  Shortly before 9:30am Friday firefighters were called to 615 Prairie Parkway to find smoke and flames showing from the three-car attached garage.  The fire was quickly extinguished but not before causing extensive damage to the garage.  Residents in the home were able to evacuate without injury.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation. photo: fdl fire and rescue
