A Fond du Lac firefighter has been placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest on possession of child pornography charges. Edgar Ramirez-Tellez faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Bail was set at $500,000 cash. According to a criminal complaint investigators found images and videos of children engaged in sexually explicit activities on his cellphone. Ramirez admitted to possessing the photos and videos and told investigators that he was molested as a child, according to the complaint.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
