E Johnson Street Bridge – Over DeNeveu Creek

Description: The project includes bridge restoration. Work includes repainting the bridge railing, staining the concrete parapets, curb and gutter, clearing trees and slope restoration. Crews will also install an epoxy overlay on the deck and sidewalk.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor completed the concrete staining and restoration work. Weather pending the epoxy overlay crew will be installing the overlay on Mon. – Wed. They will work on the outside lanes first including the sidewalks and then the two middle lanes. Lane closures are required for this work but one lane in each direction will be open to traffic. The bridge railing reinstallation is scheduled for mid-week following the epoxy overlay work.

Traffic Impacts: E Johnson Street will remain open to one lane in each direction. The outside lanes will be closed when crews are performing work to allow crews safe access to complete the required work. The traveling public, residents, business owners, and customers may access across bridge, but please reduce speeds and be cautious of other drivers and the crews performing work.

N Brooke Street Bridge – Over Fond du Lac River

Description: The project includes bridge restoration. Work includes replacing the defective expansion joint in the middle of the bridge, concrete repairs, slope restoration and the removal of the abandoned water main from the underside of the bridge.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor may begin the clearing, slope restoration and water main removal work if time allows. Lane closures are required for this work but one lane in each direction at a reduced width will be open to traffic.

Traffic Impacts: N. Brooke Street will remain open to one lane in each direction. If required for short durations the crew may need to restrict traffic to one lane and flag traffic around when they install the bridge expansion joint. The traveling public, residents, business owners, and customers may access across bridge, but please reduce speeds and be cautious of other drivers and the crews performing work.

2023 Mill ramp; Overlay Program

Schedule: August 7 through September 8

Description: The project includes manhole adjustments, spot curb and gutter replacement, milling pavement, and overlay of asphalt.

Project Locations:

 Roosevelt Street from Arndt Street to Winnebago Drive

 Division Street from Reid Terrace to National Avenue

 Mohawk Avenue from north of Harborview Drive to north of Boat Launch

August 21 to August 25: Contractor will be working on various structure adjustments and repairs.

Traffic Impacts: All streets remain open to traffic.

2023 Seal Coating Program

Schedule: August 23 through September 8, weather pending

Description of work: The work will include placing a mixture of liquid asphalt and fine aggregate over the entire street. The application fills small cracks, cover minor road deterioration, and extend the life of the roadway.

August 21 to August 25: The contractor will begin work Wednesday, August 23. Locations for the seal coat program are listed below.

Traffic impacts:  The streets will be closed to local traffic for a short period of time. Parking will not be allowed on the street during the times of street cleaning and micro surfacing. Temporary “No Parking Signs” will be placed along the street.

Eleventh Street – Park Avenue to Vine Street

Schedule: July 10 through September

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor will begin curb and gutter installation early in the week. Driveway and sidewalk work to follow.

Traffic Impacts: Eleventh Street will be closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Division Street – Lincoln Avenue to Railroad Tracks

Schedule: July 31 through October

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor will continue with water main installation moving east towards Tallmadge St.  They will then begin Sanitary Main installation mid to late week.

Traffic Impacts: Division Street will be closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Ledgeview Avenue – Park Avenue to Cottage Ave Dead End

Schedule: May 8 through September

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor will continue with road excavation and the electrical contractor will follow behind to install lighting conduit.

Traffic Impacts: Ledgeview Avenue is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Third Street – Park Avenue to Everett Street

Schedule: August 9 through October

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals,  storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor will begin water service and sanitary lateral installation.

Traffic Impacts: Third Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Warner Street – Ruggles Street to Forest Avenue

Schedule: August 14 through October

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals,  storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

August 21 to August 25: Contractor will finish water main installation early in the week and then start sanitary main installation at Forest Ave moving south towards Ruggles St.

Traffic Impacts: Warner Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access  properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
