8-18-23 fdl jury finds man guilty in cocaine conspiracy case

A Fond du Lac jury has found a man considered to be the ringleader in a  drug conspiracy guilty.  Lateef Strong was convicted of conspiracy to deliver cocaine, punishable by up to 65 years in prison.  Strong was the last of over 15 defendants charged to have their case resolved.  The conspiracy spanned from Fond du Lac County to Milwaukee and Chicago. District Attorney Eric Toney says the cocaine distributgion ring was responsible for delivering more […]

8-18-23 wisconsin crime labs processed dna test results faster in 2022

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Justice Department's crime labs processed DNA test results faster in 2022 despite receiving hundreds more cases, according a report released Thursday.  The department's annual crime lab performance report shows the labs received 4,347 cases involving DNA analysis last year. A $50,000 Powerball winning ticket was sold at Pick N Save on 6760 W. National Ave. in West Allis for the Wednesday, August 16 drawing.
