8-9-23 fdl firefighter arrested for possession of child pornography

A Fond du Lac firefighter has been placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest on possession of child pornography charges.  Edgar Ramirez-Tellez faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography.   Bail was set at $500,000 cash.  According to a criminal complaint investigators  found images and videos of children engaged in sexually explicit activities on his cellphone.   Ramirez admitted to possessing the photos and videos and told investigators that he […]

8-8-23 fdl county sheriff’s deputies seize red fentanyl

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says a new variation of fentanyl was seized following a traffic stop over the weekend.  The Sheriff's Office says K9 Rip alerted on the vehicle and deputies found red fentanyl, crack, and drug paraphernalia.  A search of the driver's home recovered additional illegal drugs and other items related to the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.  The Sheriff's Office says between the car and home deputies confiscated 12 grams […]

8-8-23 dodge county motorcycle crash victim identified

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified a motorcycle operator who was critically injured in a crash over the weekend.  The Sheriff's Office says 76 year old Ronald Magyar of Hustisford was flown by helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle struck a road construction barrier Saturday afternoon on County Highway E near Perch Road.  He was not wearing a helmet.  The crash remains under investigation.
