A Fond du Lac man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in the village of North Fond du Lac. On September 8 the 19 year old suspect is accused of walking from an address in the city of Fond du Lac to the 700 block of Michigan Avenue in North Fond du Lac and firing five rounds into an occupied living room from a short distance before he fled on foot. Nobody was injured. Multiple search warrants were executed and firearms and ammunition were located.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
