9-6-23 fdl residential fire remains under investigation

The cause of a fire that extensively damaged a Fond du Lac home Monday remains under investigation.   Nobody was injured in the fire at 213 Military Road.  When firefighters arrived early Monday morning the fire had quickly spread up the side of the house into the second floor and attic.  Residents were alerted by smoke detectors and were able to safely escape the burning structure.   One pet dog was rescued, a second dog is still unaccounted […]

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate a car vs motorcycle crash that killed the motorcycle operator and passenger.   The crash happened Friday evening on Van Dyne Road at Subway Road when a vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, striking a motorcycle.  The victims were identified as 58 year old Paul De Lap and 56 year old Pamela De Lap both of Oshkosh.   Paul DeLap was a Winnebago […]

9-6-23 promen drive bridge replacement public information meeting

Fond du Lac city officials want public feedback on the design of a new bridge at Lakeside Park.  A public information meeting will be held Wednesday, September 6th on the design of a new bridge that will replace the Promen Drive arch bridge in Lakeside Park.  City engineer Chris Johnson says construction is currently planned for 2025.  The meeting starts at 5pm  Wednesday at the Lakeside Park Pavilion.
