The state Department of Corrections continues to investigate the death of a 30 year old inmate at Waupun Correctional Institution. The DOC says the cause of Tyshun Lemons’ death is still under investigation by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office. Lemons was serving a 16 year prison sentence for armed robbery. Lemons died on Oct. 2 and is the second prisoner death at Waupun since a lockdown began on March 29. Authorities say another inmate died by suicide in July.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
