The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is is asking for the public’s help in locating a huber inmate walkaway. Jorge Casares failed to report back to jail after leaving his authorized place of employment in Juneau and now has an active arrest warrant. His last known residence is in the city of Juneau. An initial investigation shows he may be traveling in a 1992 brown Ford F150 pickup and he may also frequent an address in the city of Juneau on south Fairfield Ave. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
