10-13-23 fdl county board to consider consolidation of social services and department of community programs

The state of Wisconsin has approved the reorganization of the Fond du Lac County Department of Social Services and Department of Community Programs into one Department of Human Services.  The Fond du Lac County Board will vote on the merger at their meeting next week.  County executive Sam Kaufman says consolidation will improve efficiency in both departments.  The Community Services and Social Services Boards held a Joint Public Hearing on their 2024 budgets this […]

10-12-23 fatal motorcycle crash investigation

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a fatal car vs motorcycle crash in Dodge County.  The crash last Thursday evening on Highway 49 south of County Highway E,  claimed the life of the motorcycle operator, 28 year old Steven Perez of Waupun.  A preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle struck the side door of a vehicle that was turning into a driveway.  A preliminary investigation indicated that speed was a factor in […]

The City of Fond du Lac Water Utility has scheduled bi-annual citywide unidirectional water main flushing to begin on Monday October 16, 2023.  The schedule for the flushing is as follows: Monday – Northeast Section, Tuesday –Southeast, Wednesday/Thursday – Southwest and Northwest.
