A Fond du Lac woman was treated for non life-threatening injuries and a suspect is in custody following a stabbing incident in Fond du Lac. The incident happened Wednesday morning in the 800 block of Martin Avenue. A 29 year old woman was treated at St. Agnes Hospital for a laceration to her face. A 32 year old woman was arrested and is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Substantial Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
