11-7-23 survey finds pfas in 71% of shallow private wells in wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin environmental officials have released a survey that found 71% of samples from shallow private wells were contaminated with PFAS chemicals. The Department of Natural Resources, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the state hygiene laboratory conducted the survey in the summer and fall of 2022. 11-6-23 fire damages fdl home

Nobody was injured in a fire that signficantly damaged a Fond du Lac home.  Shortly before 3am Monday firefighters were called to a report of a fire at 130 West Division Street and upon arrival found heavy smoke and fire in the kitchen area.  The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before it caused extensive damage to the home.  Three pet dogs and a bunny were rescued from the home.  Two children were sleeping upstairs […]
