MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic lawmakers have introduced a sweeping legislative package to address deteriorating conditions in Wisconsin prisons. The prison system's chronic struggles with staffing shortages have led to lockdowns at prisons in Waupun, Green Bay and Stanley that have gone on for months. 11-3-23 police investigate tractor theft from waupun business

Waupun police are investigating the theft of a tractor from a Waupun business.   A 2021 John Deere  tractor with backhoe and frontloader attachments, valued at $20,000, was stolen Wednesday night from All Phase Heating, Cooling and Geothermal in Waupun.  Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Grove Street from Hickory Street to Seymour Street will be closed starting Tuesday, November 7th and remain closed through the end of day Thursday, November 9th.   The closure will be in place to allow the water utility to make a lead service replacement.

For a fourth year in a row Holy Family Catholic Community is providing a free takeout Thanksgiving meal for Fond du Lac area residents.  Holy Family spokeswoman Sarah Razner says over 400 meals will be given out on Wednesday November 22.   Parishioners donate food items and gather in the parish kitchen to mash hundreds of potatoes.  St. Mary's Springs Academy students help package desserts for pickup and prepare food for distribution.   On the […]
