The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified two people who were seriously injured in separate alcohol-related crashes in Dodge County over the weekend. Twenty five year old Vince Borchardt of Waupun received life-threatening injuries when his pickup rolled over early Sunday morning. For a third year in a row St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac exceeds expectations on the latest statewide school report cards. Nobody was injured in a fire that caused extensive damage to a Fond du Lac home. Shortly before 1am Sunday firefighters were called to 120 East Second Street and quickly knocked down a fire on the rear of the multi-family residence. All of the residents were able to safely escape before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
