One person was killed and four people were injured, one critically, in a rollover crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened shortly after 1am Sunday on Highway 45 near Sandy Road in the town of Auburn. A preliminary investigation shows a vehicle was southbound when it entered a ditch, struck a culvert and rolled over several times ejecting four occupants. One of the occupants, a 19 year old Hartford woman, was struck by a vehicle and dragged three miles from the scene where she was found dead in Washington County.

17-year-old male passenger from West Bend – transported by ambulance to Froedert Hospital Milwaukee with critical injuries
16-year-old female passenger from Theresa – transported by ambulance to Children’s Hospital Milwaukee with serious non-life threatening injuries
17-year-old passenger from Milwaukee – transported by ambulance to Froedert West Bend with minor injuries
21-year-old passenger from Iron Ridge – transported by civilian vehicle to Aurora Medical Center Washington County with serious non-life threatening injuries
Highway 45 was rerouted for approximately four hours while the crash scene was investigated. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
