MONONA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a vehicle fleeing a suburban Madison police traffic stop crashed overnight, killing all three people who were riding inside. 1-3-24 local unemployment rate drops

The local  unemployment rate was down in the latest reporting period.  The Dodge County unemployment rate dipped a tenth of a percent to 2.4 percent in November.  The Fond du Lac County rate fell three-tenths of a percent to 2.3 percent.  In the city of Fond du Lac the unemployment rate in November  was 2.7 percent, down from three percent in October.

1-3-23 fdl library buechel branch to reopen in new location soon

The Fond du Lac Public Library’s east-side branch closed Sunday, Dec. 31, but it will reopen again soon.  The Allen J. A Janesville man is in custody following a high speed chase in Dodge county.   The chase started shortly after 10 pm New Year’s eve in Jefferson County and continued  on Highway 26 in Dodge county with speeds up to 110 miles an hour.
