MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has appointed longtime Democratic state Sen. Lena Taylor to be a Milwaukee County judge. Taylor was first elected to the Assembly in 2003 and has been in the Senate since 2005. She resigned on Friday and will take over as a Milwaukee County circuit judge Tuesday. MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) confirms that a Sheboygan County deer farm has tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD). The result was confirmed by the National Veterinary Services Laboratories in Ames, Iowa.   The positive result came from a 5-year-old buck. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republicans who control the Wisconsin Assembly approved a bill Thursday that would call for a binding statewide referendum to ban abortion after 14 weeks of pregnancy.   Current Wisconsin law prohibits abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy. 1-26-24 mild temperatures expected to continue into next week

After spending last week in the deep freeze, temperatures this week are forecast well above normal.   National Weather Service meteorologist,  Taylor Patterson says high temps this  week are forecast in the mid to upper 30s.   Patterson says that's ten to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year.   The mild temperatures are expected to continue into next week:
