WHITEFISH POINT, Mich. (AP) — Shipwreck hunters have discovered a merchant ship that sank in Lake Superior in 1940, taking its captain with it during a storm off Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The Fond du Lac Area United Way has reached it's fundraising goal.  United Way executive director Amber Kilawee says the fund drive has topped the goal of $575,000.  "We are so fortunate to have a resource-fortunate community, and it's really because of the donors and the folks that believe in the health and human service network, "  Kilawee told WFDL news."   This year's pacesetter was the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic.
