2-8-24 huber inmate walkaway-captured

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a Huber inmate walkaway has been arrested.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says  43  year old Jennifer Patricia Petersen is in custody as a result of a follow up investigation conducted by sheriff's deputies in collaboration with Milwaukee police.  Petersen left the jail  for a doctor's appointment at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam, but  failed to report back to jail.

2-8-24 wisconsin teen pleads no contest in bonfire explosion

SHAWANO, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin teenager has pleaded no contest to charges that he triggered a bonfire explosion that injured more than a dozen people in 2022. 2-7-24 house fire-rosendale

Nobody was injured in a house fire in Rosendale. Shortly after 6pm Tuesday firefighters were called to 211 South Main Street to find the house quickly filling with smoke. Sheriffs deputies and fire personnel extinguished the fire with fire extinguishers before the fire department arrived.  The fire caused moderate damage.  Four residents are displaced. A newly installed furnace may be to blame.
