Fond du Lac and Dodge County businesses impacted by a lack of snow this winter are encouraged to consider applying for Economic Impact Disaster Loan funds. Joe Venhuizen with Envision Greater Fond du Lac says the funds are available through the Small Business Administration. Venhuizen says the funds typically target businesses that specialize in skiing, snowmobiles, and other winter activities. Businesses in Fond du Lac and Dodge counties have until July 31 to apply.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
