A Middleton man is in custody following a high speed chase in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties that reached speeds in excess of 130 miles an hour. The chase started shortly after 7:30pm Saturday on Highway 151 near East Salem Road and ended nearly 30 miles later on Highway 26 in Fond du Lac County when a state Patrol trooper rammed the suspect vehicle. The driver, 23 year old Gregory Pauly of Middleton, was arrested and faces multiple charges.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
