A preliminary investigation indicates the death of a Fond du Lac man at Lakeside Park West is a suicide. Sources tell WFDL news the body of the 31 year old man was found Wednesday morning at the dog park at Lakeside Park West under a blanket with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Fond du Lac police are continuing their investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
