4-23-24 fdl police continue to investigate racist flyers found in city

Fond du Lac police are investigating after a number of Fond du Lac  residents have complained about finding racist flyers on their property.  Roseanne says she was walking her dog near Lakeside Park when she came across one of the flyers on a terrace.  Roseanne says the writing on the flyer made her sick to her stomach.  “It had rhetoric that included how we are being subjected to people coming from other countries or people from our own country who are not white,”  she told WFDL news.  “My first thoughts were this has no place here in our city.  It has no place in my neighborhood.”   She says she tossed the paper in a garbage can.   Assistant Police chief Scott Krause says investigators have identified a vehicle that may have been involved in distributing the messages.   Krause says it appears a group calling itself White Lives Matter is behind the flyers and has distributed them in other communities across the state.  He says in addition to flyers, some stickers were found on city street signs in Lakeside Park and elsewhere.  Police are asking anyone with information to contact the police department.
