The Fond du Lac County Health Department is offering free testing in observance of Sexually Transmitted Infection Awareness month.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says more than 2.5 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis were reported in the U.S. in 2022.  Mueller says STIs must be treated as a public health priority.

4-15-24 high speed chase in dodge and fdl counties reaches speeds in excess of 130 mph

A Middleton man is in custody following a high speed chase in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties that reached speeds in excess of 130 miles an hour. 4-15-24 beaver dam man critically injured in alcohol-related motorcycle crash

A Beaver Dam man was critically injured in an alcohol related motorcycle crash.   The crash happened early Sunday morning on Owl Road in the town of Calamus.  Deputies who arrived on the scene performed life saving measures and the victim was flown by helicopter to a hospital with life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

4-15-24 grass fires in fdl caused by passing train

Sparks from a passing train are believed to be the cause of two grass fires in Fond du Lac over the weekend.  Saturday afternoon Fond du Lac firefighters responded to the area of Highway 151 and the railroad tracks  just east of the South Hickory Street on-ramp for a grass fire.   Shortly after arrival another call came in for a second grass fire on the north side of 151 along Kohlman Road.  Both fires were […]
