4-22-24 socially vulnerable women missing recommended mammograms

About one third of socially vulnerable women are missing recommended mammograms.  That according to new research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The study found the more health-related social needs a woman had, the less likely she was to get a mammogram.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Services supervisor Michelle Robbins says for women between the ages of 50 and 74, mammography prevalence was 83 percent for women with no health-related […]

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), along with the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP), local health departments, and federal partners, is working to investigate a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to fresh basil.
